My elite New York sock puppet training program premiered somewhere between a Lower East Side rehearsal closet and a bodega aisle in late 2025, followed by a gritty five-borough tour of basements, rooftops, and one suspiciously supportive laundromat in Queens. It later received the coveted Tri-State Golden Sock for Excellence in Felt-Based Drama. Enrollment is now open, but only for puppets tough enough for New York.

My latest sock puppet bootcamp is currently in post-production, which in this case means yelling at felt in a Brooklyn walk-up. We trained for ten intense days across nine emotionally unstable locations around New York City, covering subway etiquette, aggressive deli ordering, and how to maintain eye contact during a downtown staring contest. It was chaotic, transformational, and very New York.
